Avoid Getting Banned by AdSense Due to Copyrighted Material

One of the biggest disadvantage (among numerous advantages) of the internet is the theft of original content, or piracy in other words. Copyright violation is a big issue, and is not only a danger to the originality of the content online, it is also a threat to the individual content creators, who do all the work while someone else takes the credit, hence offsetting their prospects. Although such violation can not be stopped, it can be discouraged. And Google is taking steps to do just that. Many webmasters use Google AdSense to monetize their sites and generate revenue. So to discourage copyright infringement, Google bans websites that it finds are violating its copyright policies. Here is what you need to know to stay on the good side of AdSense, or else you might find yourself banned in no time.

Copyrighted content

Almost every new content that is uploaded to the internet is copyrighted, unless specified otherwise. For example, an organization might run an awareness campaign, creating content and specifying it free to be widely distributed. Someone might even give you permission to distribute your content, in which case you get a license with specified limitations. In such cases, you are free to copy and distribute the content. But in most other cases, copying content is stealing, and is punishable by law. Such content commonly includes mp3 songs, movies, videos, games, shareware/premium software, articles, blog posts etc (yes, this very post is protected by the MyBloggerTricks.com Copyright, and it is stealing if this post is found on any site other than MyBloggerTricks.com).

Copyrighted content
If you create original content from scratch, then you automatically hold the copyright for that content. You can then grant other people permission to distribute your content, or make it public and free for all.

Copyright content violation policy

Google has a very strict policy regarding content. If the webpage you have ads on has copyrighted material, it will ban you from AdSense. Furthermore, even if your page has only links to sites that have copyrighted material, you will still get banned. Such sites include illegal file sharing websites, illegal torrent sites, sites and blogs with plagiarized content etc. Linking to these sites will get you banned, so be careful!

Before putting up ads, ask yourself this. Does your site host or link to copyrighted content? Generally, AdSense bans ROM sites, sites that host shareware software for free, crack websites, sites dedicated to audio and video downloads, Warez sites, and more. So make sure your site is none of the above, and has original content before putting up AdSense ads.

Google is watching you Why Google discourages copyrighted content?

The most obvious reason is it is not fair to the original creator. But the major reason is, it discourages advertisers. Google itself has to earn a bit through the advertisers. And if the advertisers don't come, Google goes at a loss. Advertisers don't like un-natural content that drives up their cost and the publishers' revenue without much apparent effort (of creating original content).

Reporting content violation

If you find that someone is violating your copyrights, you can file a request with Google by filling out a form. You can also read our in-depth articles on Copyright violations.
    Stop Internet Piracy
If you have any further questions regarding Copyright Violations, then let us know and we'll try to help you. And as always, our message is "Stop Piracy". Don't copy other people's content without at least giving them credit. And don't copy blog posts from other blogs (such as BestTips2012). Stay blessed :)

How to Get A Job In 2012

According to media reports, the economy and job market seem to be improving for job-seekers. However, to benefit from these favorable projections, you must have an effective job-seeking strategy and a tightly focused approach to landing the job you desire. The employment atmosphere in 2011 was somewhat different than it was a decade ago, and you must strive to gain an advantage over others competing for the same job. With job openings in short supply and countless applicants applying for the same job, how do you outshine your competition?
The most important thing you (as a job-applicant) can do is to make yourself memorable. The key areas to focus on in your job search are:

    Your Resume

Make sure you have a current, targeted resume which gives a detailed outline of your objectives, professional skills and previous jobs-with dates of employment and location of the companies. Also include certifications and other acknowledgements and achievements that may be pertinent to the position you're seeking. For example, if the job is in an architectural firm and you hold a real estate license, include that on your resume. It's a lateral field but architecture involves designing and building, which makes your real estate knowledge highly desirable. Be sure all of your resume information is complete. When you give vague or incomplete information on your resume, hiring managers will assume most of it is untrue. This can cause you to appear immature and unprofessional... not to mention untrustworthy, and will greatly reduce your chances of being considered for the position. If information is omitted, you need to have a suitable explanation for the missing data.

    References

Have a list of references already prepared so that if the hiring manager asks for them you can provide them on the spot. Be sure and contact your references beforehand to make them aware that they may be contacted by a certain company or companies. This way, they'll be prepared to discuss your strengths and abilities without being caught off guard.

    Punctuality

Arrive on time, or a bit early, to the interview. This is imperative since it sets the tone for the interview process. If a hiring manager has been forced to alter their schedule to accommodate your tardiness, they won't be happy nor will they think too highly of you. If you're late for the interview they'll assume it's a pattern that will carryover into your employment with them.

    Preparing for the interview:

Nailing an interview can be a complex feat, especially when you factor in nerves. Overcoming nervousness in an interview is an age-old chore that takes practice. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. Spend some time beforehand rehearsing a mock interview with a friend or family member. You could even practice by yourself in a mirror. Take note of your body language, facial expressions and tone of voice. Look at yourself from the interviewer's perspective and honestly assess whether you'd be impressed if you were them.

    Having the right look

For ages a business suit has been the preferred attire for an interview. However, in the current social climate, you should dress according to the type of job you're applying for and the kind of business it is. If it's a professional office environment, naturally, a business suit is appropriate. But if the job is in hospitality at an elite but laid back country club or resort, you should tone down the executive look a bit and tailor your style of clothing to the look that would be appropriate for that particular industry. Obviously, always dress neatly and be well-groomed. You want to look your best and look professional, but you also want to look like you'll fit in.

    During the interview

This is your time to shine. You may be one of many applicants that day, so be prepared to convey to the interviewer why you'd be their best choice. If your skills are an exact match for what they're looking for, you really don't have to do too much over-selling of your skills. However, if you're lacking in the skill set that they're looking for you need to impress upon them as to why you believe your past experience and current capabilities are equally useful. For example, if you're applying for a retail sales position but you've never been in retail before, you can spotlight your excellence in the sales position you held previously even though it was in a different industry.
Don't hem and haw when asked about your salary expectations. Be clear and concise about what your desired salary is. This gives you an air of confidence and security. However, keep in mind that to land the job it may be necessary for you to let them know that for the right opportunity you would accept a lower salary.
Be friendly and jovial, but don't overdo it to the point that you seem juvenile. Highlight your personal traits, your passion and eagerness to learn, as well as your professional qualifications. This is especially important if your professional qualifications fall short of what they're looking for.
Though the forecast for the current job market may look grime on the surface, by evaluating your current talents, strengths and abilities, constructing a plan for success, polishing your communication skills and applying all that you learn, you can still land a great job in 2012.

Why Blogging is the next Level of Social Networking?

For the last 7,8 years social networking has become very popular on the internet, and Facebook is the best way to communicate with each other, finding new peoples and get updates from them , it's very easy to interact with someone. Facebook is the world's largest social networking site with more than 900 million users, Now A Facebook at its best and millions of people are connected with each other through Facebook, Now I am showing some points to you by which I can say blogging will be the next level of social networking.

Blogging Gives Us Name and Fame on Web

Blogging Versus Social networking or FacebookWhen you are a Facebook user nobody knows you expect your friends and family but when you are a blogger thousands of people from all over the world knows  you, and if you are a good writer you will get name and fame with your blogging.

Help us to learn and earn

That will be the main reason for the end of social networking because blogging help us to learn and earn from blogs, Like if you have a blog on Internet marketing then I am sure that you have more knowledge than a person of the same Profession who works for a company, Bloggers are always keen to learn and always explore and create new interesting stories on the web, and if we talk about money so It's not easy to earn money from blogging but making someone else rich is better than earn less from Blogging.

    Better Understanding between Bloggers

All bloggers have a very good understanding between each other they always ready to help of a fellow blogger, which makes blogging as a community, because all bloggers has their own groups of fellow bloggers, they work together helping to promote each other blogs just like a community and this is the main reason of success of blogging in the internet.

    They work for their shareholders

Facebook is the largest social networking website so I am taking an example of Facebook, After the Facebook IPO Facebook start working on making more money, Facebook is a perfect marketing tool and people will use it only for marketing purpose, it's not true that blogging will be reason of the end of Facebook, it will be there always but most people will start using Facebook to promote, where blogger works for their readers and fellow bloggers to communicate and increase knowledge.

    No Conditions

Apple moves closer to totally ditching Google; does away with YouTube app

It’s no secret that Apple wants its users to move away from Google services. Siri works as hard as possible to give consumers information from anywhere but Google and Apple has released their own mapping solution to back away from Google Maps. Just today it was revealed in the latest beta release of iOS 6, there will no longer be a YouTube app pre-packaged with the iPhone, iPod and iPad.
android-appleReceiving mixed reactions from iOS users, the death of a native YouTube app for iOS was to be expected. Apple has been using Vimeo for product demos instead of YouTube, and the built-in share button found throughout Apple’s latest desktop update, OS X 10.8, lacks functionality with Google’s video service. Both blatant hints that Apple was moving away from YouTube.
Apple is portraying the move as nothing personal, releasing a statement saying, “Our license to include the YouTube app in iOS has ended.” Adding on, “Google is working on a new YouTube app to be on the App Store.” If you’re an avid YouTube user on iOS, you probably welcome this news.
YouTube for iOS has been seriously lacking for years now. Handing over control of the YouTube experience to Google should result in nothing but good changes for the app.
Of course, if you want the most robust Google experience possible, Android is the way to go. That much is a no-brainer. Still, don’t expect Google’s services like Maps and YouTube to leave the iOS arena without a fight.

Rumor: iPhone 5 to have thinner, more scratch-resistant display

Chinese forum iPhone5Parts.net claims to have acquired a next-gen iPhone 5 display component, and has examined the front panel differences in various specifications between it and the iPhone 4S. Presuming the photo they’ve provided is legit, the display screen appears to match recent leaks of purported parts.
ETrade Supply has posted a video (embedded below) that offers plenty of details about the upcoming iPhone screen glass display, which according to them will have a 0.1 mm thinner screen and will be 13.6 mm taller than the iPhone 4S.

Also, the folks from ETrade Supply noticed that the Home button is smaller than that of the iPhone 4S, allowing plenty of room for a larger 4.06 inch display.

Along with being thinner and taller, ETrade Supply reports that the panel is much stronger while offering better protection from scratches. They report that Apple will be using Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2 for the new iPhone 5, Corning company claims presents brighter images and increased sensitivity to touch.
ETrade Supply’s reports align with previous rumors from several media outlets that have mentioned a new touchscreen sensor integrated into the device’s LCD panel, known to many as the “in-cell technology,” which is developed by Sharp.

Prevent PC from Shutting Down, Restarting or Sleeping

I have a Windows 7 PC at home that runs some scripts at night to perform backups and do some other stuff on my network. I have gone into my power settings and made sure that the compute never turns off and that it doesn’t go to sleep or hibernate. However, there are still times when the computer will restart because of some Windows Update, etc.
This had become very annoying and I didn’t have the time to spend trying to reconfigure settings or figure out how to prevent Windows from restarting, shutting down or sleeping. Instead, I just downloaded a nice little program that does all that for me.
Don’t Sleep is a free Windows utility that will block/prevent Windows from sleeping or restarting or shutting down. The nice thing is that it’s a super small file and it doesn’t even have to be installed onto your system, you can just run the EXE file.
Once you download it, unzip the file and run DontSleep.exe.
    dont sleep
Next, you will see the main interface of the program pop up. Here you can enable the blocking and choose your options:
    prevent pc sleep
Under Blocking, you can check several boxes. You can prevent the PC from going into Standby/ Hybrid-Standby / Hibernation. You can prevent the computer from shutting down and you can prevent the screensaver from turning on or prevent Windows from turning off the monitor. By default, it prevents the user from logging off too because otherwise it would not be able to prevent a shutdown or restart. You can just click on the Exit button at the top right if you wanted to log off.
The program also has a timer at the bottom, so you can check the Use Timer box and then choose a date and time to Exit and either stop blocking or shutdown or restart, etc.
    prevent shutdown
So if you only want to prevent shutdown for a specified period of time, you can do so using the timer feature. If you click on the Options button, you’ll see more options for how and when to run the program.

Here you can choose to start Don’t Sleep when Windows starts, start it minimized to the tray, the time after coming back from standby that the program should start, etc. Lastly, if you click on System at the top, it has a bunch of shortcuts to various system settings like Task Manager, Power Options, Screensaver, etc.

Overall, the program is very easy to use and does a good job of actually preventing your PC from turning off, restarting or going to sleep. If you’re looking for a good program to do this, Don’t Sleep is really nice. Enjoy!

    Google PageRank Update August 2012

Well there comes just a new update on Google's Page popularity algo on 2nd August 2012. The PageRank toolbar has started showing new ranks for all websites worldwide. The update this time seems a major one and there could be no further expectation of any new changes within the next 24 hours. The last update was on May 3rd and third last was on February 6th. The duration gap has now become constant. Google rolls out these updates quarterly, after every three months. The next update and last update of this year is expected anytime between  November 1-10 2012. PageRank as you all know is a numerical weighting scale between 0-10. Websites that are recommended by related niches via backlinks rank higher on PR scale and get the benefit of faster crawl and index rate.  Blogs with higher PR are crawled faster compared to those with lower PageRank. For example a PR 7 webpage is crawled several times per minute compared to a PR 5 page that is crawled once every minute. The faster the robot crawls your pages the greater the chances for you to drive organic traffic from Google and build readership.

The PR for BestTips increase from Zero to 1 . My main focus these last months have been Alexa Rank and I must congratulate all our readers for taking BestTips to attain an Alexa Rank of 10K.
    BestTips is now improving daily.

    How important is PageRank?

PageRank is a successful link analysis algorithm that differentiates Google from its Market competitors. This algo is and was the backbone of Google's popularity when Larry Page and Sergey brin  first introduced this new giant search engine's functionality in September 1998. SEO professionals and internet marketers have now started measuring a website's popularity in terms of PageRank and Alexa Rank. PR is good to attract paid product reviews. Business owners do pay well if your blog has a stable PageRank, at least 3.0
But PageRank comes last in my priority list. Read further to find why.
Google Web Spam Head, Matt Cutts himself says that what is more important is your Content and not the PageRank. Watch this useful video:

Why your PageRank is not increasing?

Your PageRank did not increase? If yes then don't get frustrated and start understanding the concept first. PageRank is not sequential and surely not proportional to the number of incoming links. It is an automatic system that depends on quality links pointing your main domain. I have already written a detailed post that explains every single question revolving around your mind:

    Do you need several backlinks?

It's a myth that PR depends on getting hundreds of backlinks from niche websites. A single link from a high PR blog can change your rank from 0 to 4. Some guest authors have already experienced this with us before. You must not waste your precious time commenting on forums and blogs just for the sake of low quality backlinks. Keep yourself limited to just 4-5 blogs that you may read and interact with. Build a relationship with your favorite authors and once you succeed in winning a respect in their eyes for yourselves, you can then start guest posting at these blogs without any hesitation.

    Quick PR Formula:
    • Guest post on at least 4 Blogs (where you comment) with PR > 3
    • Make your Post of at least 1K words
    • Make sure your blog is well designed, presented and contains at least 25 posts. You must provide a solid reason so that the author may offer a link.
    • Produce a post that is related to the author's niche
    • Make it presentable, sound mature and to the point
    • Never try to promote yourself or your blog on a guest post, talk about the topic only.
    • Add images and video to make the post stand out
No one would neglect such a great post. Try it.

    Do not fool yourselves

Site rankings do count well but give your first priority to quality content only. Write more and publish more. Do not waste your online working hours in finding tweaks to somehow increase your PageRank. Instead do a lot of reading and Work on your SEO skills and build readership. There are many blogs online with PR 6.0 but they are not well versed with marketing strategies to use in order to market their blog and make a living out of it. Neither PR nor Alexa are as important as readership. I have always emphasized on the following priority list:
    1. Readership First          (i.e. Posting quality content)
    2. Traffic second
    3. Alexa third
    4. PageRank Fourth
Advertisers look for a return value in your blogs, if you fail to offer that you fail to win a lucrative income. Internet Marketers look at your niche topic first and then they analyze your readership, fan followers and finally your site rankings.

What is the Maximum PageRank achievable by a blog?

So far blogs that are managed by a single author or 2-6 authors could succeed in achieving a maximum of PR 6.0. I have not come across any blog with zero investment to have attained a number greater than six. Normally large businesses that have strong marketing backup rank high because the investment is huge. Blogs like search engine land, seomoz, mashable and techcrunch are corporate websites that have several hired authors who write tons of articles per week. Many people are involved behind its promotion and management and they are often backed by both print and electronic media.
So if you are a dedicated blogger then achieving 6 should be your goal. Remember Pagerank does not decide which blog is good and which is poor, its only an algorithm that tells whether a site is well recommended online or not. Reputation of any blog depends only in its strong reader base and quality updates.

    What's your PageRank?

Do share with us your updated PR values and feel free to ask any SEO related question. I just hope this new update was a calm one for most of you. If you have seen a sudden positive jump then well done, if your Rank remains the same then thumbs up but if your PR has dropped then don't get demotivated and start working on the simple PR formula we shared above. Nothing works better then this technique so make yourself prepared for some quality guest posts and work with patience because you have a lot of time. i.e. 3 Months. The next update could occur anytime between 1-10 November 2012.  Peace and blessings pals! :>
