Dolphin—a popular iPhone Internet browser—has received an software
update which adds a number of small performance enhancements and a
couple of new features. The latest feature that so many iPhone users are
talking about is the new built-in voice-search functionality named
“Dolphin Sonar.” According to the app developer, it will allow users to
perform web searches, post social network updates, create bookmarks, and
easily navigate the Internet by simply using voice commands.
The update also comes with the ability to switch between four
different search engines, adjustable font sizes, a dim-screen night
mode, the ability to save images to the iPhone’s photo album, and a
URL-specific keyboard.
Dolphin Browser for iPhone v4.0 is available to download for free in the iTunes App Store. However, the Sonar feature requires a $0.99 in-app purchase to activate it once you have installed the app.
